Dublin eBay Lunchbox Learning Series Offers Secrets to Successful eBay Sales

Local Education Specialist Trained by eBay Provides Tips, Tricks for Selling Online

WHAT:	“The Basics of Selling on eBay” course will be held Tuesdays starting November 11, 2008, and again on December 9, 2008, at the Executive Office Place, 5650 Blazer Parkway, Suite 100, in Dublin, Ohio, near the Mall at Tuttle Crossing. The course is presented in a 4-week lunchbox learning series from noon to 1 PM EST and will provide new or inexperienced eBay users the tools needed to be a successful seller on the site. Facts about eBay: More than 1.3 million people currently use eBay as a primary or secondary source of income (ACNielsen International Research 2006). Over 6.9 Million items are added every day. A digital camera sells every minute. A forklift sells every 4 hours. With more than 203 million registered users, eBay offers sellers more than 50,000 categories to market their goods including antiques, art, books, business & industrial products, vehicles, clothing, collectibles, electronics & computers, home furnishings, jewelry, movies, music, pottery & glass, sporting goods & memorabilia, tickets, and toys & hobbies. Course attendees will learn the fundamental skills needed to become a successful eBay seller. WHO:	Diana Barnum, a Hilliard-based Education Specialist trained by eBay, is offering local residents the chance to learn tips and tricks for selling on eBay. Barnum has been an active registered Ebay user since 2000. Among those she helps train about eBay are people who have been released from rehab facilities and seek a better way of life with new income possibilities. She also instructs inmates in local prisons who have an average of under 5 years of their sentences left to serve and are about to re-enter society. Not only are the inmate residents learning to prepare for making money once they are released, they learn for their families who seek money-making opportunities now for their expenses; i.e. for travel money on visitation day, for medical expenses, for bills, for day-to-day life and more.
