Creative Living is hosting their Eighth Annual Creative Living Golf Classic on Wednesday, September 12, 2001 at Chapel Hill Golf Course in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. A non-profit organization, Creative Living encourages assisted living for people with physical disabilities. They provide wheelchair accessible housing and assistance and create environments for people to learn, work, live and contribute to the community.
“A lot of people come back to our Golf Classic every year,” said Marilyn Frank, Executive Director of Creative Living. “We have lots of repeat business. We serve lunch and dinner and have wonderful door prizes and a guest speaker.”
All entry fees include the use of the golf range, golf cart, lunch and dinner. The raffle includes various prizes like two Delta Airlines tickets, two OSU (Ohio State University) football tickets, rounds of golf and more. In addition, there are four levels of sponsorships available. Gold Sponsorship includes the company logo displayed as a dinner sponsor, one foursome, and high visibility in the event program book and in public relation efforts. Silver Sponsorship includes one foursome, the company name on a one-hole sponsor sign and in the event program book. Bronze Sponsorship features one foursome and the company name in the event program book. And Individual golfer is for one golfer and includes a listing in the event program book.
Registration and lunch begin at 11:30 AM. A shotgun start is at 12:30, and dinner and prizes are scheduled at 5:30 PM.
Creative Living houses adults who have severe physical disabilities, while they pursue education or vocational training, or begin a new job, housing until education is completed. An 18 unit apartment complex opened in September 1974, and a 16 unit complex, called CLII , opened in August 1986. Both are located on the edge of The Ohio State University campus in Columbus, Ohio.
